One of Latvia’s brightest new generation jazz and academic music trumpet players Kristians Kalva is a student at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, who has already received recognition in various international competitions. This year he joined the world’s leading pop and jazz orchestra Jong Metropole Orchestra for several future projects. He regularly collaborates with the most important Latvian orchestras and artists – Latvian Radio Big Band, Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonietta Rīga, Latvian National Opera and Ballet Orchestra.

Cellist Ēriks Kiršfelds masters both, classical and electrical cello. The musical program in the festival’s venue, he describes as: “Varying degrees of folk music by composers of varying ethnicities played on different cellos.”
